National PTA Reflections Program
Each year, the PTA Reflections program challenges students to create art inspired by a specific theme and submit entries to their PTA. Each year, students in grades pre-K through 12 are recognized for bringing the theme to life through dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography and visual arts.
Entries are judged at the school level by community judges. School winners go on the compete at the county level. County level winners then compete at the state level.
“When children express themselves through words, pictures, music, dance, and other art forms, they grow intellectually and socially. They learn to analyze their thoughts, feelings, and ideas; learn to look at things, people, and experiences in a fresh and exciting way; and become more interested in the ideas and works of others.” (pta.org)
