How does this program work?
It’s easy! Customers simply click one of our Amazon banner ads or text links and shop as usual. When website owners and bloggers who are Associates, like RIDGECREST PTA, create links and customers click through those links and buy products from Amazon, Associates earn referral fees. Customers won’t see anything that shows that RIDGECREST PTA may earn fees from their purchases.
To earn referral fees as part of our annual fundraising, RIDGECREST PTA will be sharing Amazon links on our website and in social media posts for products and shopping events of interest to families (e.g., Teacher Wish Lists, School Supply Lists, recommended reading).
Is this the same as AmazonSmile?
No, AmazonSmile is a program where Amazon donates .5% of purchases to charities designated by shoppers. RIDGECREST PTA is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for us to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites. Associates can earn up to 10% in referral fees plus other special fees.
